Salvia and Drug Tests

A lot of people that use drugs get worried once they find out that they are going to face a drug test. Whether it be for home use or employment reasons that you must get tested, if you are using salvia you may be worried and want to know if salvia can show up in a drug test. The simpler answer is no but it is possible. Most drug test kits are the urine test kits and they only test for certain drugs.

Test Kits
The test kits are usually 5 or 10 panel drug test kits but can vary anywhere from 1 to 12 panels. This refers to the amount of drugs that are being tested for at once in the urine specimen. The most common drugs that are being tested for include marijuana and hashish, amphetamines, PCP, cocaine and crack, and opiates. For a drug test kit to be testing for salvia it would have to be customized. There are tests for everything and if the person knew that salvia was the drug to be tested for then it would be possible but without that prior knowledge there is nothing to worry about.

In most cases, the drug test kits will just be the standard urine test kits which are screening for the most common drugs. If that is the case then you have nothing to worry about and the salvia will not show up in the drug test kit results.
