After Effects from Salvia Use

Everyone already knows that there are a lot of effects which occur while you are high on salvia. However, a lot of people wonder if there are any after effects – both effects which last temporarily after the high and effects that could be permanent. One of the main worries that a lot of drug users have is that the salvia could cause long term effects that could ruin their life. However, there is not really that much to worry about.

Positive Effects
There have been some effects reported by those who have used salvia before that will occur after the high is over. Many people have claimed that when the main high went away that they felt like they were in a really good mood. For a few hours (even up to a few days) after the high they would have a type of afterglow which made them feel a lot better about themselves and more comfortable with their life. There are some people who reported the negative effects as well.

Negative Effects
There have been quite a few reports from people that used salvia which noticed various negative effects after the high was over. Stuff like a minor to severe headache (sometimes occurs during the high as well), insomnia, and being very easily agitated are all regular effects that have been claimed to occur in some cases after the salvia high.
The after effects from using salvia have been reported more from people that use it by smoking it then chewing it. The effects could be a result of the combustion products in the salvia like carbon monoxide and not to be blamed on salvinorin A but none of this has been proven yet.
